GENUINE APPRECIATION

Practicing genuine appreciation

The more you find something to appreciate, the better it feels; the better it feels; the more you want to do it; the more you do it, the better it feels; the better it feels … the more you want to do it. The Law of attraction assists with the powerful momentum of these positive thoughts and feelings until, with very little time and effort, you will find your heart singing in your joyous alignment with who you really are.

It is well known that being in gratitude brings you more good things in your life. Conversely, not being appreciative of your life brings you back more lack in your life. Every time you appreciate something, you are saying to the universe “More of this, please”. Thus the more appreciative you feel, the more the universe brings what you want into your experience. It can be helpful to set 10-15 minutes aside in a day to practice appreciation.  You can start by looking around at things that please you. Focus your attention on it, appreciate what you really enjoy about it. Then notice how you feel. Appreciate how you feel about it, then focus on other things that please you. The more you maintain the good feeling vibrations, the more law of attraction brings people, experiences and thoughts that match your vibration.

Here’s are some of my thoughts as I do my appreciation exercise:
  • What a beautiful day. The weather could not be any better!
  • What a reliable car I have - exactly the kind I wanted.
  • What beautiful, traffic and pollution free roads I get to ride on each day.
  • Am so lucky to live in California - the weather does not get better than this!
  • I simply can’t believe how much fun I have on facebook writing on my page day.
  • Truly grateful to be able to meet such beautiful people via my page each day! It feels great to experience and share so much Love with so many people from all over the world, on a daily basis.
  • Am very blessed to be able to learn the teachings of great spiritual and self-help masters of all times. It is fantastic to be able to learn and grow each day!
The vibration of appreciation is the same as the vibration of Love, or gratitude - it is just that the terminology varies. The desire to appreciate helps you to get to the feeling of gratitude or Love. And when you are in Love, you offer the least resistance to your source - you are very much in the state of allowing beautiful experiences in your life. Also when you offering no resistance, you are also most receptive to receive messages from your inner-being.

When you are the peak of feeling appreciative, you may feel ripples of goose bumps, or you may cry with tears of gratitude. I have personally got into this high when looking at the work of some of the great spiritual teachers of the past. It happened when I realized that many of them spent the majority of their life working to benefit us, without entertaining any selfish needs of their own -  that our life is comfortable thanks to their life-long effort, and that we will never be able to pay them back enough. All we can do is be in gratitude, be forever indebted to them, and make their teachings available to others.
