Nothing great was built in a day. It takes years to master any craft or trade. It takes years to develop wisdom, grow a business, build a community, or change the world.

Many times, we look at other people’s success and attribute it to their talent, availability of resources and simply luck. In reality, there is no short-cut to greatness. All the top people in their respective field are highly dedicated to what they do, and never stop growing each day. They are focused single-mindedly in improving themselves at whatever task they have taken up.
All worthwhile life projects such a growing wisdom, developing a career, growing a business have the nature of a marathon and not a sprint. One has to build up to it each day, little by little and keep growing stronger as each day goes by. It is about giving our 100% each day, and ensuring that the 100% of today is more than the 100% of yesterday. This is why dreaming big is necessary. If we dream big, the mind will propel us each day to achieve what we have set out to achieve. Each day we are not progressing a little towards our dreams is time lost forever.
Seven months back, this page had exactly one fan - that is me. At that time I used to look at Neale Donald Walsch’s facebook page with great awe and remember that he had about 53,000 fans - higher than most self-help professionals I knew had at that time. I have so much reverence for Mr Walsch that I assumed that he is a extremely popular writer and hence it is natural for him to have that many fans. Last week I looked at his page and saw that his page now had a little over 100,00 fans. I was totally amazed to learn that this page had grown at a slightly higher rate than Neale’s page in the last 7 months. Looking back, I see this very knowledge in action. This is definitely not something that can be done in a single day, but about something that you do every single day for a long time.
