BETTER HEALTH FOR VULNERABLE CLASS OF THE SOCIETY

I have read an article written by a housewife in one of the local publications that Universal Health Insurance is one of the insurance schemes announced by the Central Government in their budget two years ago.
The Main Features of the policy are:
This Universal health insurance is provided by Nationalised Insurance Company like Oriental, United India Insurance, New India Assurance  and National Insurance Company.
This policy is basically for BPL families and for the vulnerable section of the Society.
Under this scheme cashless insurance of Rs.30,000 per annum is available  based on photo card issued to family members from TPA(Third party Administrators).
The requirement for getting this policy is a photo ID and address proof for the major members of the family and photographs of the members for getting photo card for cashless hospitalization.
For postal address, employers can give their home address so that getting courier etc. will not be a problem.
The Premium per family is Rs.450 per annum.  If the  family has the below poverty line card then only Rs.150/- per annum is payable as premium.
The housewife in her article mentioned that she has taken a policy for her maid servant and the insurance company has issued  photo card for cashless hospitalization from TPA  for 4 members of ther family  by paying Rs.450/-per annum and she is entitled to get cash free treatment upto Rs.30,000/- either for her or members of her family.
Such a scheme in prevailing is a news as far as I am concerned.   If somebody is not  aware of this scheme they can help the needy people by advising them to go for such an insurance as  people we deal with like domestic maids, drivers, milk suppliers, carpenters, security staff, housekeeping staff may not be aware of such a scheme.
